Ever since I started photographing I felt a disconnect to the photography industry. The industry is full of photographers just posing people like they are moppets and then editing them heavily, just to get the ‘perfect’ shot. I don’t believe in the ‘perfect’ shot, I believe in the candid shot.

In the moments that feel like movies.

In the images that reflect the energy in motion. The raw and the bold. What you saw is what you will see in the photographs.

I will always always always honour you, your body, your story and your world by noticing and documenting it exactly the way it is.

And since I know how difficult it can be to be your true authentic self when your standing in front of a camera I decided to only photograph true authentic adventures in an artistic way.

Whenever you are ready to get your story documented it is so important to choose the right storyteller and photographer. Someone you can truly connect with. Someone who makes you feel safe enough so you can be your authentic self. Someone who encourages you to discover yourself, your partner and the world around you in a way you never did before. Someone who has walked that path before you.

I know too many photographers who specialise in boudoir photography without ever having experienced a boudoir shoot themselves. Or photographers who offer loveshoots without ever standing in front of the camera with their partner. I myself swore to always experience these kind of shoots first, before adding them to my offering. Okay pregnancy shoots and photographing weddings proved a bit more difficult to wait for them to happen in my own life ;) Although I’ve worn a wedding dress a couple of times during my self-portrait series and this spring we got married.

Yes you read that right. I am a huge advocate of adventures and experiencing love. To me experiencing love always starts with experiencing selflove. So I set out on a journey to document my own story, my own body and my own selflove in an artistic way. And yes I have included my man into this a couple of times and also my cat. I went on a big adventure to Iceland to become one with nature and photograph myself in a way I never did before. And yes these are all self portraits!

And yes I’ve also stand in front of multiple photographers their lens for boudoir shoots and love shoots (my man and I even did boudoir together). So I know how you feel, I know what feels good and what does not. I know how incredible vulnerable you can feel and I know the magic that will happen when you choose to surrender to the adventure.

So go ahead and surrender to the adventure and we will create an experience you will never forget!

And in case you end up forgetting it when you get old, you will always have the photos to revive your memories ;)
